After loosing her husband 'Rosemary', a widow from Alego was subjected to multiple traditional practices that exposed her to different men, all in the name of culture , her lived experiences, as a widow navigating deeply rooted cultural practices that striped her off choice, dignity and peace .A story that challenges us to re think tradition versus humanity.

At just 32 Roseline Orwa, became a widow and was subjected to cruel cultural traditional practices. But she refused to accept silence and chose to speak through the stop widow abuse in Kenya page, her voice reached thousands. in partnership with the Lord lomba ,she led a grassroot movement with more than 6000 widows and 3 out of 4 elected at the assembly. The amazing thing is the strategy and creative tools that she uses, recently she wrote a book that has gone to Kenyan education system as a literature book that speaks to empathy and Kenyan context of women. The poetry book is a tool that is transforming widowhood into systemic change.
