Siaya County Widows Protection Bill (2024)

Draft Siaya Widows Protection Bill (2023)

The Bill provide for the Protection and maintenance of neglected, and abandoned and destitute widows by establishing a Directorate of Widowed Persons and the Welfare Committee for such widows in Siaya County and for connected purposes. It merges the Widows Charter and the FPFK policy and currently undergoing public participation for review towards enactment by October, 2023.
